Well, if you believe the internet, then it appears it's about to be Miller time. According to a report on Twitter, the Dodgers are set to call up number 1 pitching prospect Bobby Miller to start in place of the injured Julio Urias on Tuesday in Atlanta.

Bally Sports MLB reporter Russell Dorsey was the first to share the news this morning.

This conflicts with Dave Roberts' response to a potential Miller call up with Doc having said he doesn't think he's ready earlier this week.

But, at this point, the team has its back against the wall when it comes to pitching depth. Urias will miss two or three starts on the IL. Dustin May will be out for an extended period of time as he recovers from a flexor strain in his right forearm. Rookie right-hander Gavin Stone is already being called up to take May's spot and, beyond him, there are no other healthy options.

Ryan Pepiot is dealing with residual soreness in his oblique and is now expected to be out until after the All-Star break. Michael Grove is returning from a groin strain and needs to build back up his stamina over a few starts at the minor league level.

So yeah, it's Miller time.

The 24-year-old pitching prospect was slow played this spring as he dealt with shoulder soreness. He's since made 4 starts at Triple-A and has had mixed success but mostly has struggled to keep runs off the board.

Miller has allowed 9 earned runs over 14.1 innings, giving up 11 hits and 6 walks while striking out 12. He is, however, coming off his best start of the season this past week, giving up just 1 run over 6 innings in a win.

The Dodgers may have to give Miller a multi start run until Urias returns but the front office is undoubtedly exploring the trade market for a low cost emergency solution for the rotation.
