The Los Angeles Dodgers have had four players go on paternity leave in the last week. Mookie Betts, Evan Phillips, Brusdar Graterol and Max Muncy have all been on the paternity list in the last week or so, leading people to ask a lot of questions. You know, like, what was going on nine months ago that led to this crazy outbreak of paternity leave?

Well, the MLB All-Star break was around nine months ago, and it took place at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. That storyline had people having quite a good time on Twitter. However, on Tuesday, it got even funnier.

Former Dodgers outfielder and current member of the Cubs, Cody Bellinger, was placed on the paternity list on Tuesday. He, too, was a member of the Dodgers last season.

Bellinger was actually a candidate to go on paternity leave two weeks ago when the Cubs came to Dodger Stadium for a three-game set. However, he was able to play that entire series, and the entire four-game series against the Dodgers in Chicago before heading on the paternity list — and he played very well.

Anyways, back to this story.

One person going on the list would be a non-story, two people would be a coincidence. Three is where it starts to get interesting, but we've now shot past that number and gone all the way to five. That is what got people really talking on Twitter.

If you're in the mood to laugh, I highly recommend you read some comments under that tweet from Dodgers Nation, or just go on Twitter and see what else people were talking about. People have been having fun with this story!

Of course, though, the most important part of this story is wishing a congratulations to everyone! Congrats to Mookie and Brianna, Evan and Elizabeth, Max and Kellie, Brusdar and Allison and, now, Cody and Chase!

Also, on Tuesday night, we finally got our first look at one of the new Dodger babies, courtesy of the Dodgers on Twitter.

Here's Mookie, Brianna and their soon, Kaj Lynn Betts!

Also, for those wondering, this story isn't done yet. Dodgers LHP Caleb Ferguson and his wife, Carissa, are expecting a child soon, too. I can't wait to see what Twitter has in store when he heads to the paternity list!
