Former Dodgers Outfielder Signs With AL Central Squad

It's his fourth team in four years.

Former Dodgers outfielder Kevin Pillar has signed a minor league deal with the Chicago White Sox. Steve Adams of MLB Trade Rumors reported the signing.

Pillar will earn $3 million if he makes the big league roster, according to Adams.

Pillar, 35, spent the 2023 season with the Atlanta Braves after appearing in four games with the Dodgers in 2022. In 81 games in Atlanta, Pillar slashed .228/.248/.416 with nine home runs and 32 runs batted in.

Pillar's career began back in 2013 with the Toronto Blue Jays, and he was a staple in their outfield until 2019, when he was traded to the San Francisco Giants early in the season.

He then bounced around the Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies and New York Mets before joining Los Angeles in 2022.

In his 11-year career, Pillar has been known for his defense, being a plus-defender at all three outfield spots.

The West Hills, CA native has 106 career home runs and a lifetime OPS of .702.
