The Dodgers got some great news regarding the health of injured starting pitcher Julio Urias. Manager Dave Roberts gave an update on the left-hander and when the team could see him make his return to the mound.

If the Dodgers could get Urias back on their road trip next week against Kansas City, it would be huge for them. Their pitching has been a major issue this season so getting their ace back into the fold would be massive.

Urias normally pitches deep into games, which takes off stress from the bullpen. LA's bullpen has been taxed this season with all the innings they've needed to throw so getting a guy like Urias back will benefit everyone.

Urias talked about wanting to be fully healthy before returning to make sure that he stayed on the active roster. He doesn't want to rush anything and is taking it day by day.

“It’s very important to be 100 percent fully healthy,” Urias said in Spanish. “At the beginning, we were trying to rush it, trying to get through it a little bit faster. It didn’t feel as good as I wanted to. Now just taking the process, taking the time and getting back to 100 percent.”

Per The Orange County Register

This is the correct way to go about things with Urias. The Dodgers need him to be making starts for them over the course of the season and they don't need any setbacks. Urias is also scheduled to be a free agent at the end of the season so he likely wants to show that he can stay healthy to potential teams that could be interested in him.

All in all, this is great news for the Dodgers and their pitching woes. Getting Urias back could help boost morale around the clubhouse as well and provide some stability to the Dodgers rotation.
