Everybody seems to get healthy when they play Los Angeles.

Okay, that may actually be a Lakers thing, but the New York Yankees are taking a page out of the NBA's book this weekend as the Bronx Bombers get set for a three-game series in Los Angeles.

The depleted Yankees roster will be much fuller come Friday's series opener, as they welcome not one, not two but three key contributors back to the team.

Former MVP and five-time All-Star Giancarlo Stanton, who's been out since April 15, is set to travel to Los Angeles this weekend. So, too, is former MVP and three-time All-Star Josh Donaldson, who's been out since April 5. And finally, former Dodgers RHP Tommy Kahnle, who hasn't played all year, is set to rejoin the team in Los Angeles this weekend.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone was asked about the possibility of all three of his injured guys playing the weekend.

"They’ve all been doing pretty well here for a while," Boone said. "For the most part, I feel like they’re ready to go."

These guys will obviously be a huge boost to the Yankees lineup and bullpen for this series in Los Angeles. Stanton was born and raised in Los Angeles and grew up a huge Dodgers fan, so you know he's going to want to put on a show in front of the LA crowd.

As for Kahnle, he emerged as a strong bullpen option in the second half of last season, so he'll be happy to come back to Dodger Stadium and show the team what they're missing.

The Dodgers are getting a little bit healthier this weekend, too, as the team is welcoming Michael Grove back to the mound for the first time since April 20. Unfortunately for him, though, he'll be up against a retooled Yankees lineup surrounding the red-hot Aaron Judge. Not exactly the same competition he's been pitching against in his rebab starts.
