The Indians today announced that they have promoted Carter Hawkins as well as Matt Forman to the role of Assistant General Manager.

The two will take over for Derek Falvey, who in early October was given the role of Executive VP by the Twins. That role became official at the end of the Indians season Wednesday night.

Hawkins joined the club in 2008 and has spent the last two seasons as Director of Player Development. He will continue to lead the Player Development department and will assist Chris Antonetti and Mike Chernoff in all aspects of Baseball Operations.

Forman is in his fourth season with the club and was promoted to Director of Baseball Operations prior to the 2016 campaign. He joined the club in January 2013 following a stint with Baseball America.

He will assist Antonetti and Chernoff in all aspects of Baseball Operations and the club’s scouting and player procurement processes (Amateur, Pro and International Scouting). He graduated in 2011 from Northwestern.
