Jackson Lifts Tribe To 4-3 Win Over Rays; Three Takeaways From The Indians' Win

The Indians won a back-and-forth battle against the Rays this afternoon by a final score of 4-3, as Corey Kluber lifted the Tribe to victory with his tenth win of the season. Austin Jackson hit the go-ahead and eventual game-winning home run for the Tribe in the 8th, but the offense had some other bright spots from common contributors this season.

Here's our three takeaways from today's game.

1. Kluber Doing Kluber Things Again- Corey Kluber missed a month of baseball, but you would never guess that if you just started watching the Tribe. Kluber has been on an unreal roll as of late, continuing to mow down batters left and right. He set down nine batters by way of strikeout, making it fourteen consecutive starts with at least eight strikeouts for him. Working seven innings today, Kluber is just in an absolute groove.

2. The Bruce Is On Fire- When the Indians made a move for outfielder Jay Bruce late last week, many fans expected the move to serve as a makeshift solution until Lonnie Chisenhall and Michael Brantley came back from their injuries. Well, it's going to be tough to sit Bruce after his last few days at the plate. Bruce has brought in three RBI's in the last days and is sparking the Tribe offensively. It will be interesting to see what the team decides to do when everyone is healthy.

3. Momentum Heading Into Boston- The Tribe won three of four against Tampa Bay and now set their sights on the Red Sox. The Indians will be looking for revenge after losing the last series against Boston.
