Preview: Trevor Bauer Back in Chicago to Face the Sox as Indians Look for Fourth Straight Win

Trevor Bauer will be back on the mound for the Indians tonight, making his second start after coming back from the injury he suffered in the very place he will start tonight, Chicago.
Bauer at 12-6 on the season threw just 1.1 innings on Friday night, and is expected to throw a couple more innings than that tonight as the Indians will look for their fourth straight win.
Carlos Carrasco will get the call out of the pen for Bauer, as tonight would be his normal night to take the mound, and Indians manager Terry Francona has said he wants to keep all of his starters sharp.
Last night Corey Kluber notched his 20th win, and the offense got some production from the likes of Brandon Guyer, Adam Rosales and even Brandon Barnes in a 4-0 win.

1. Bauer's Return to Chi-Town
Trevor Bauer will be on the very mound tonight he was on where he suffered an injury that kept him out of action for over a month after taking a ball off his leg.
Tonight, he will look to continue to look to get back to form, as he will get a longer look on the mound after throwing just 1.1 innings in an eventual loss on Friday night to the Red Sox.
Many think right now that Bauer will get the ball in game three of the ALDS against the winner of the AL West at Progressive Field on Monday, October 8th.
Expect to see an even better Bauer than the one that took the mound against Boston on Friday night.
2. Production From Unlikely Places
Monday night the Indians pulled out a 4-0 win, and most of the usual heroes were not the ones that got the team to the four-run mark in the victory.
Brandon Guyer's solo homer in the 7th inning broke the scoreless tie, his 7th blast of the season, and it came after he already had hit into a double-play earlier in the game.
The 9th inning saw Adam Rosales hit a solo homer to make it 2-0, and then Brandon Barnes singled to right, driving in the teams' third run of the game.
It's always good to have a night when the team can win without the likes of Lindor, Brantley and Ramirez having to lead the charge.
3. Cookie in Relief
Tonight after the Indians feel they have seen enough of Trevor Bauer, they will go to the pen and give the ball to Carlos Carrasco, who has thrown in relief already once this season, earning a win against the Yankees in the game the day before the All-Star break began.
The notion of giving the ball to 'Cookie' out of the pen is simply to keep him sharp and on his normal schedule, and it should work out just fine, as Carrasco knows what's expected of him going in.
The last week of the season for a playoff team usually sees some odd pairings, but when you can put a pair of pitchers on the mound that each have over 200 strikeouts is a pretty impressive feat, one that should be fun on Tuesday night.
