On Tuesday night, the Cleveland Indians took on the Minnesota Twins in what was game two of a three-game series.

Coming into today’s game against the Twins, the Indians lost the series opener on Monday in Minnesota, and came in looking to avenge Monday's walk-off loss.

Heading into Tuesday night’s matchup the Indians came in with a record of 57-48 and currently have a 9 game lead over the Twins for first in the Central following Minnesota's loss. The Twins came into play today with a 49-56 record.

Following the Indians win against Twins, the Indians improved to 58-48 on the season. As the Twins fell to 49-57 on the year.

Here’s our three takeaways from the Indians 6-2 win.

1.) Trevor Bauer Evens His Record Against the Twins in 2018 to 1-1

As mentioned in the preview, Trevor Bauer faced the Twins back in the beginning of June and came out on the losing end. On Tuesday night, Bauer earned his first victory over the Twins.

Bauer pitched in 6.1 innings, gave up 4 hits, allowed two earned runs, walked 4, and struck out 3 hitters. Bauer very rarely this season has had the number of walks issued higher than the number of hitters he has struck out.

Both of Bauer's starts against the Twins happened in Minnesota. Bauer improved his record on the road to 5-5 for the 2018 season.

2.) Jose Ramirez continues Stellar Season

On Tuesday night, Jose Ramirez went 3-4, with 2 RBIs, and one walk. Jose hit his 28th double of the season on Tuesday night as well.

During the first two games against Minnesota, Ramirez is 5-8, has scored two runs, has got one double, 2 home runs, 4 RBIs, 2 walks, and has struck out once.

Ramirez on the year has a career high of 32 homers and currently has 25 stolen bases. Jose is looking to be the first 30/30 hitter for the Indians since Grady Sizemore did so in 2008.

3.) Give a Hand to the Indians Bullpen and Bottom of the Order

Along with playing errorless baseball in Tuesday's matchup, the Indians were able to go to their bullpen and the bullpen didn't leave the team with any issues.

Brad Hand pitched in 1.1 innings, gave up 1 hit, struck out 1, and gave up no runs.

Cody Allen pitched in 1.1 innings also, gave up 1 hit, struck out 1, and walked one.

Back in Early June, the Indians fell to the Twins due to bullpen issues when Mike Clevinger started a game, Allen gave up a 2-run walk-off homer to Eddie Rosario.

Tonight the Indians made it way easier for fans to breathe when the team had to turn to the bullpen.

Roberto Perez and Greg Allen (batting 8 and 9 tonight) combined for 5-7 tonight and scored 4 of the 6 runs for the Indians tonight. Some would say an unlikely duo to come through.
