Indians Pitcher Mike Clevinger Sends Out Message on Instagram Following Trip to IL

While the Indians have already been hit hard on the offensive side of the ball with calf injuries to Francisco Lindor and Jason Kipnis, the team got awful news on the pitching side Tuesday.

It was announced Tuesday morning that Tribe starter Mike Clevinger, who got off to a fast start not allowing a run in his first two starts (12 innings), will be shut down six to eight weeks with a strain of his upper back.

The team will likely look to Adam Plutko to fill the void for Clevinger while he is on the injured list, a tough break for a player who look dominant in his first two starts.

Following the announcement on the injury, Clevinger took to Instagram to thank his team for their support while he starts his rehab to try and get back to the team.
