CLEVELAND - The Indians lost relief pitcher Nick Goody during game one of their Thursday doubleheader against the Toronto Blue Jays, and it looks like he might not be back for awhile.

Goody left the game in the 7th inning after he grabbed his arm after a pitch to Kevin Pillar.

Before he left with the injury, it was another tough day for the reliever, as he went just 2/3 of an inning, allowing a two-run homer to Josh Donaldson to tie the game at seven in the 6th inning on his first pitch.

It's not been a good stretch for Goody, as he has allowed eight earned runs on 10 hits in his last four times on the mound. Now with the injury he might have to wait awhile to get back to the form that made him one of the solid relief pitchers out of the pen last season.

To take his place on the roster the Indians made two moves, first calling up relief pitcher Evan Marshall, purchasing his contract from AAA Columbus.

Marshall pitched six games with the Seattle Mariners last season. Before that he pitched from 2014 to 2016 with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The team also announced that starter Danny Salazar is being placed on the 60-day disabled list.
