CLEVELAND – The Indians solidified their future on Tuesday, finalizing deals with first-round pick Noah Naylor and compensation pick Ethan Hankins. Naylor and Hankins were selected just six picks apart in last month's draft, taken 29th and 25th respectively. Both deals are above their slot value per multiple reports.

Hailing from Canada, Naylor is a catching prospect regarded as one of the best hitters in this year's draft class. The 18-year-old reportedly signed for $2,557,138, which is about $200k above his slot value.

Meanwhile, Hankins, a right-handed pitcher from Georgia, was ranked the No. 21 prospect according to MLB Pipeline. The 18-year-old also signed for about $200k more than his slot value cashing in for $2,246,022.

Cleveland has officially signed all of the players selected on day one of the draft, with Friday's 5 p.m. deadline for signing draft picks looming.
