Indians OF Tyler Naquin Finishes Third in AL Rookie of the Year Voting

Indians rookie outfielder Tyler Naquin lost out tonight on the American League Rookie of the Year vote, as Tigers pitcher Michael Fulmer took home the honors, with Naquin finishing third in the voting.

Nauin collected two second place votes, and 14 third place votes.

Fulmer, who went 11-7 with a 3.06 ERA in 159 innings for the Tigers, won the award with 26 first place votes, and four second place votes.

Yankees catcher and DH Gary Sanchez was second in the voting, getting four first-place votes, 23 second-place votes and two third-place votes. He hit .299 with 20 homers and 42 RBI in 53 games for New York.

Naquin had a memorable first season with the Tribe, as the 25-year-old hit .296 with 14 home runs and 43 RBI.

He had six steals, and one of the most memorable moments of the season on August 19th when he hit an inside the park homer against the Jays in the bottom of the 9th to lead the Indians to a 3-2 win.
