Jason Kipnis Getting Ready to Return to the Indians

CLEVELAND - Indians veteran second basemen Jason Kipnis is inching closer to a return to the team, but it's still not a given as to when that will be.
Or where he might be playing upon his return.
Indians manager Terry Francona said on Tuesday that Kipnis wants to be back in the lineup on Sunday, though he said he felt the trainers would push that back for a return likely Tuesday when the team starts a trip out west.
Another interesting factor is where Kipnis will play upon his return. Tuesday he worked out in center field, another indication that the team is still very much looking at their options for him to play some outfield when he comes back to the team.
Kipnis has had experience in playing the outfield, playing it in college and began his minor league career in the outfield for Mahoning Valley in 2009.
