Preview: Indians Start Series in Chicago Against the White Sox Tonight

The Tribe's latest road show starts tonight in Chicago as the team will travel to the Southside of the Windy City to start a series against the White Sox.
The Indians are coming off an impressive 5-2 homestand in which they took two of three against the Angels and then three of four against the Twins, the last two via walk-off runs.
Tonight they send rookie Shane Bieber to the mound, he's coming into the game with a mark of 6-2, but his ERA has jumped up to 4.58 as he's had some struggles as of late.
Carlos Rondon at 3-3 will go for the Sox, who come into action tonight at 41-73, oddly enough not the worst team in the AL Central, but still good for 4th of five in the division.
Here's a look at tonight's game with a quick preview.

1. Bieber's Recent Struggles
Despite a good outing last time out for Beiber, he's dropped three of his last five decisions, with his ERA going from 2.97 on July 3rd up to now 4.58.
He did throw a solid 5.2 innings last time out against the Angels, striking out seven and allowing just two runs on seven hits with one walk.
Bieber hasn't faced the White Sox in his career, so tonight will be a first for him as he tries to record his 7th win of the season.
2. Red-Hot Rondon
White Sox starter Carlos Rodon has been super impressive as of late for a team going nowhere in 2018, as in his last five starts he's 2-0 with a 1.56 ERA and 31 strikeouts.
He lost two back-to-back decisions to the Indians back on June 14th and 19th, allowing six earned runs in 11.1 innings in those two outings.
In his last outing against the Rays, he gave up one run on three hits in six innings, but in that outing he gave up five walks with four K's.
The Indians have to work the count and be patient against the Sox pitcher tonight.
3. Pushing Around the Sox
The Indians, as they should, have dominated the White Sox in 2018, winning 8 of 10 games against them, and outscoring them by a wide margin, 61 to 25.
Chicago is a team that is simply playing out the season, using young players as well as trying to get some looks at possible prospects for next season and beyond.
Clearly they are not a team that is going to present much of a challenge to what the Indians are looking to do right now, but at the same time, the Tribe has at times in 2018 played down to the competition, so they have to make sure to not fall asleep at the wheel over the weekend in Chi-Town.
