Report: Indians Pitching Coach Callaway a Strong Managerial Candidate This Offseason

While Terry Francona has been getting a lot of national attention for the sensational job he's done during the postseason getting the Indians to win 7 of 8 games, there's another coach on the roster who should be getting a lot of credit.

That coach is pitching coach Mickey Callaway, who has taken the Tribe's M*A*S*H unit of a pitching staff and made sure they are on track for a shot to beat either the Cubs or Dodgers in the upcoming World Series.

With Callaway's success with the Indians, other teams are starting to take notice, and Jon Morosi of Fox reports that Callaway could be up for a managerial job with another team.

Callaway has never managed in any other organization, as he started with the Lake County Captains back in 2010, and in 2011 he was the pitching coach for the Carolina League runner-up Kinston Indians.

He became the Indians pitching coach when Francona took over as manager in 2013.
