Cleveland Indians pitching coach Mickey Callaway has agreed to become the newest manager of the New York Mets, according to multiple reports.

Callaway has been in the Indians organization since 2011 when he was the pitching coach for the Lake County Captains, the Single-A Affiliate of the Indians. Callaway joined the Indians major-league staff in 2013 and has been the pitching coach ever since. He has been credited big-time with assisting in the growth of the current rotation, including Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco. He has helped this pitching staff break a lot of team and MLB records in the pitching category.

In the meantime, the Indians will now look to fill the current void.
