Bally Sports to Broadcast 161 Marlins Games in 2024

The Miami Marlins are getting nearly a full slate from their broadcast partner Bally Sports for the 2024 season

Bally Sports, the network home of the Miami Marlins, announced it will produce and broadcast 161 Marlins games during the 2024 Major League Baseball season.

All games not airing exclusively on a national platform are scheduled to air on Bally Sports Florida and stream in the Bally Sports app and at BallySports.com. (NOTE: The schedule is subject to change and select games may air on Bally Sports Sun for some viewers.)

Coverage begins on Opening Day, March 28, with a special hour-long “Marlins Live” pregame show at 3 p.m. ahead of first pitch between the Marlins and Pittsburgh Pirates at 4:10 p.m. from loanDepot park.

Other games on Bally Sports will be preceded by a half-hour pregame show and all will be followed by “Marlins Live” postgame coverage featuring highlights, interviews and analysis.

WAYS TO WATCH

Bally Sports’ Marlins broadcasts are available throughout the state of Florida. In the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area, fans can tune in through cable providers such as Comcast Xfinity, AT&T U-verse, Blue Stream, Breezeline and Hotwire; or via satellite with DirecTV; or streaming TV providers including DirecTV Stream and Fubo.

The Bally Sports app will again make all live games – plus pre and postgame shows – produced by the regional sports network (RSN) available for live streaming when fans authenticate with their pay TV credentials or subscribe to Bally Sports+, the direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming service within the Bally Sports app that gives local viewers direct access to their favorite hometown teams.

All new this season, Marlins fans living in Florida will have access to a Bally Sports+ Season Pass. Available for purchase beginning today, March 21 at Offers.BallySports.com, fans can sign up for the discounted plan to receive access to local Marlins broadcasts on a seasonal basis. The newest Bally Sports+ pricing plan joins the monthly and annual subscription options to allow for greater flexibility as fans look to choose a plan that best fits their needs.

The Bally Sports app is available for download on most iOS devices, Android devices, Windows PCs and tablets. The app is also available on several TV and connected-device platforms; click here for a complete list.

BROADCAST TEAM

Paul Severino returns for his seventh season as the TV play-by-play voice of the Marlins on Bally Sports. He will again be joined in the booth by a rotation of analysts. Tommy Hutton enters his 26th season on Marlins broadcasts and his 22nd in the booth. Rod Allen, who has spent over two decades as a baseball broadcaster, is back for a third season as a Marlins analyst. Four-time World Series champion Jeff Nelson, who has worked for the network since 2016, and ex-Marlin Gaby Sánchez, who has been part of the coverage since 2018, also return.

Allen, Nelson and Sánchez will also serve as analysts on the “Marlins Live” pregame and postgame shows. Former Major League catcher Alex Avila joins the broadcast crew this season for select pregame and postgame shows. A South Florida native, Avila is the son of former Marlins front office executive Al Avila.

Craig Minervini begins his 23rd season hosting Marlins pregame and postgame coverage. Jessica Blaylock enters her 10th season covering the Marlins, serving as a host and in-game reporter. Kelly Saco, who has been on the broadcasts since 2018, continues as a host and in-game reporter.

Saco also hosts “Marlins Clubhouse,” a program geared toward younger fans, and Sánchez hosts episodes of “Marlins All-Access,” giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the team and its players. Both shows were recognized with Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards last year.

Digital host and reporter Jeremy Taché enters his fourth season with the network. He serves as a correspondent on “Marlins Clubhouse,” and fans can listen to him interview players, coaches, broadcasters and other notable South Florida personalities on Bally Sports’ “Miami Mic’d Up” podcast, which is available for download on Apple and Spotify.
