The New York Mets have set two of their pitching probables for their three-game series with the Seattle Mariners, which starts on Friday at Citi Field.

The first two games are set for 7:10 p.m. eastern while Sunday’s finale will start at 1:40 p.m. Like the Texas Rangers — who just left town on Wednesday — the Mariners are locked in a race to win the American League West.

Kodai Senga (10-7, 3.17) is set to pitch on Friday for the Mets. He took the loss in his last start last Friday against the Los Angeles Angels, in spite of a quality outing. He went 6.2 innings, giving up four hits and two earned runs. He walked three and struck out 10. In his last seven games he is 3-2 with a 3.10 ERA with 42 strikeouts and 15 walks in 40.2 innings in that span.

Senga is likely to face the Mariners’ Logan Gilbert (12-5, 3.66), who last started against Kansas City on Saturday. Gilbert threw seven innings and claimed his second straight win, giving up two hits and one earned run. He struck out seven and walked one. He is 4-0 with a 3.67 ERA in his last seven starts, with 42 strikeouts and eight walks in 41.2 innings.

The Mets have not set their starting pitcher for Saturday’s game. In the last turn through the rotation, the Mets started Carlos Carrasco. But, the Mets waived Carrasco on Thursday.

Whoever starts is likely to face the Mariners’ Luis Castillo (11-7, 3.01). He is in a groove right now and coming off a win against Kansas City on Sunday. He struck out six and walked one in seven innings. He gave up just one hit and no runs. In his last seven starts Castillo is 5-0 with a 2.93 ERA, with 48 strikeouts and eight walks in 46 innings.

Tylor Megill (7-7, 5.29) is expected to start for the Mets on Sunday. In his last start against Texas on Monday he took a no-decision, throwing six innings and giving up just one earned run on five hits. He struck out eight and walked one. He has struck out 33 hitters in his last 34 innings and has an ERA of 5.56 in his last seven starts (2-3 in that span).

The Mariners are likely to start Bryan Woo (2-3, 4.15) on Sunday. He won his last start against Oakland on Monday, throwing six innings of shutout baseball. He gave three hits and a walk while striking out five.

After the Mariners leave town, the Mets begin a three-game series at Washington on Tuesday.
