New York Mets Spring Training Schedule With Game Times
The New York Mets are set to return to Port St. Lucie for spring training, with their first game set for Feb. 24 against St. Louis at Clover Park.
This will be the first spring training with David Stearns as the Mets’ president of baseball operations and Carlos Mendoza as manager.
Stearns was formerly with the Milwaukee Brewers as its general manager, then president of baseball operations and finally as an advisor. Mendoza was last the bench coach for the New York Yankees.
They are tasked with turning the Mets after an underwhelming 2023 in which they fell well short of expectations and traded their two veteran starting pitchers, Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander.
Pitchers and catchers are set to report on Feb. 14, while the first full-squad workout will take place on Feb. 19.
The Mets will face their cross-town rival New York Yankees three times during spring training. The Mets host the Yankees on March 5, followed by trips to Tampa to face the Yankees on March 22 and March 25.
After breaking camp, the Mets return home to Citi Field to open the season against the Milwaukee Brewers on March 28.
