Baltimore Orioles Spring Training Schedule With Game Times

The Baltimore Orioles will play a month's worth of games in the Grapefruit League and here is the 2024 schedule.

The Baltimore Orioles will open their 2024 spring training season with a home game against the Boston Red Sox as they continue preparations for the season.

The Orioles return to Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Fla., which has been their home for spring training games since 2010. It was formerly the home of the Cincinnati Reds and before that the Chicago White Sox.

The home game with the Red Sox is set for Feb. 24, 10 days after pitchers and catchers report to the team facility. Position players follow shortly thereafter, with the first full workout set for Feb. 20.

The Orioles will have a couple of new players to show off. Baltimore just traded for former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes, a move that Orioles general manager Mike Elias said is about winning in 2024. The Orioles gave up pitcher DL Hall and infielder Joey Ortiz, along with their Competitive Balance A Round One pick in next July’s MLB Draft.

The Orioles also signed closer Craig Kimbrel to a one-year deal.

Otherwise, the Orioles are generally intact from last season, when they won 101 games, claimed the American League East title and put the rest of the league on notice that their plan to build their team from within is bearing fruit.

The Orioles are also in transition off the field, as David Rubenstein is leading a group that is buying controlling interest from the Angelos family. There is an agreement but MLB must approve the move.
