Expect Baltimore Orioles Superstar Prospect to Make Opening Day Roster

In this story:
It's been a fantastic two years for the Baltimore Orioles and their star prospects.
Adley Rutschman made his MLB debut in May 2022, three years after being selected No. 1 overall in the 2019 draft. He finished second in AL Rookie of the Year voting that season.
Gunnar Henderson was the Orioles' second round pick in the same 2019 MLB Draft. He made his debut in September of 2022, but made a massive splash this past season as a rookie.
He will likely win the AL Rookie of the Year Award when the official winners are announced.
Baltimore fans should get ready for their next potential superstar to debut.
The No. 1 overall prospect in the MLB Pipeline is Jackson Holliday, who took the minor leagues by storm during his second professional season.
After being the No. 1 pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, Holliday worked his way up to Triple-A this season and finished the year with a slash line of .323/.442/.499, 12 home runs and 75 RBI across 125 minor league games.
Now, the coveted prospect will have a chance to earn an Opening Day roster spot according to Danielle Allentuck of The Baltimore Banner.
Mark Polishuk of MLB Trade Rumors isn't so sure that the Orioles will promote him that early, however.
"The PPI gives the Orioles some temptation to just start Holliday right away, but my guess is they keep him in the minors a couple of extra weeks for the purposes of gaining another team of control. Between [Jordan] Westburg, [Ramon] Urias, [Jorge] Mateo, and [Joey] Ortiz, the O's can claim that they don't "need" Holliday since they're already covered at the two open infield positions," he writes.
It feels like Baltimore should just get him in the mix for the 2024 season and see what he can do.
There's no point in waiting.
He's clearly part of their future plans and has superstar potential.
Just like with the quick call-ups of Rutschman and Henderson, he could become a game-changing type of player that puts them into true contender status.
