It's very hard for me not to go the full mile and fully acclaim Mr.Juan Soto as 100% back but you have to love what you've seen from him over these past two weeks.

Even though the Padres as a whole did not perform up to par and came out on the bottom during two series against the Los Angeles Dodgers and one against the Minnesota Twins, it may have been a small price to pay if Soto did fully find his bat once again.

Over that time span, the 24-year-old slugger was able to bomb two home runs and three RBI's while posting a much-improved batting average of .324. He continues to consistently get walks as well and his swings have been looking beautiful.

Obviously, SD would not have wanted to struggle at all this season nor got embarrassed by their division rival but better early on than later. LA definitely has the history component over the Friars and these first two series but last year taught us that all that matters is what happens in the postseason.

Maybe Soto needed to struggle and hear the criticism rain in for him to truly find himself. Well analysts have been loving him as of late and it's safe to say baseball is much better when he is raking.

In fact, Fox's own Ben Verlander went as far as to place Soto in his MLB team of the week and had nothing but good to say about him.

Everything I see with Soto leads me to believe that he's back. His approach at the plate is different. He's swinging more, which you want to see out of a slugger like Soto. Mechanics-wise he looks really good. Every ball the guy touches right now is launched. When everything is going well for him, he's in the discussion to be the best hitter in baseball. Right now, you can't say that because of his past year but he's getting back to that."

I can't wait to see if he continues this momentum during this current series against the Kansas City Royals.
