Well, it didn't take very long for the pitch clock to get a player angry enough that they got kicked out of a game for it.

Our own Dan Diego Padres superstar Manny Machado is on the wrong side of the history books following his ejection from the Friars Tuesday game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was barely the first inning and he was the team's designated hitter for the day.

Umpire Ron Kulpa ruled that a pitch clock violation automatically led to Machado's third strike and he would be out.

Take a look at the play for yourself here.

Machado had plenty of words for the umpire and was immediately thrown out.

"Manny Machado is called out on strikes on a pitch-clock violation in his first at-bat in the first inning, and is now ejected from the #Padres-#Dbacks game"

The pitch clock is one of the newest rules this MLB season along with a shift ban and bigger bases. However, I feel like it has been the most controversial out of the three.

Even though it has made games go by faster and helped the league's ratings, it makes fan experiences questionable, pitchers have had to change up their routine, and it's obviously bothering hitters as well (as shown by Manny).

If you guys look back to about a month ago, Machado was also the first player to commit a pitch clock violation in Spring Training. It looks like history has repeated itself.

Padres fans took to Twitter to react and they were not too happy.
