It was quite the battle to see in San Fransisco on Tuesday night when the San Diego Padres came ultra-close once again to taking a win from a streaking Giants squad but ultimately came up short.

Even though Friars fans have not been able to see their side record a victory yet in this new series, it has to be a welcoming sign to see them compete night in and night out, especially against a team like the Giants that is playing their best baseball of the 2023 season and just took the NL West rival Dodgers with ease.

Tuesday's loss also saw the bullpen lose composure for the second straight night as Seth Lugo returned from injury and took care of business as he gave up just three hits with one run in his five innings on the mound.

However, on a more investigative note, MLB Twitter has been having a field day with Juan Soto for taking a little extra time to run out to left field so the top of the ninth inning could get started.

The score was tied 3-3 and it was about to go either way so fans at Oracle Park were waiting very patiently. Announcers even began to laugh and wonder how a pitch clock violation wasn't being called until they finally saw Soto sprinting to the outfield.

It's safe to say that many Twitter users shared the same opinion as to what they believed the superstar was doing.

Debunked!

If you take a close look, you'll see Soto cheesing pretty hard when he finally got out there. Nonetheless, he has been performing quite well in their two losses to San Fransisco as he has batted .500 with three homers.

And The San Diego-Union Tribune's Kevin Acee revealed that Soto actually took a long time coming out to the field due to a wardrobe malfunction!

"Juan Soto tore his pants sliding into second base and was putting on a new pair. He had a pretty big raspberry on his knee after the game."

When you are performing so well, sometimes you just have to go!
