ARLINGTON, Texas – Texas Rangers right fielder Adolis García appeared to tweak his right knee in the second inning of Sunday’s series finale with the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Field.

The Rangers (38-20) won 12-3 to sweep the three-game series over their AL West rivals.

Mariners right fielder Teoscar Hernandez drilled a triple off Texas starter Nathan Eovaldi into the gap between García and center fielder Travis Jankowski. García initially broke on the ball before pulling up lame and hopping on his left leg.

He went to the turf as Jankowski chased down the hit. A Rangers trainer came out to attend to García, checking on his right leg. García stretched it out and did some light jogging before remaining in the game.

The entire Texas organization had a breathe a sigh of relief at seeing the club’s home run and RBI leader looking normal. García has only missed two games this season.

He made it back to the dugout after the inning without any apparent issue. The Rangers were up 2-0 at the time.

García went back out to right in the third. He doubled to straight-away center in the bottom of the inning to score Nathaniel Lowe to make it 4-0.
