Texas Rangers Finalize Opening Day Roster

In this story:
Texas Rangers general manager Chris Young finalized the Opening Day roster Wednesday afternoon, just a day before the 2023 MLB season starts against the Philadelphia Phillies.
First pitch at Globe Life Field is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. CT.
There were no true surprises, but the spring non-roster invitees who did make the team were utility man Travis Jankwoski and right-handed pitcher Ian Kennedy.
The corresponding moves were pitchers Glenn Otto and Jake Odorizzi going to the 60-day injured list.
Outfielder Bubba Thompson made the cut, as did infielders Josh Smith and Ezequiel Durán.
On the pitching side, lefties Taylor Hearn and Cole Ragans made the team, as well as right-hander Dane Dunning.
Center fielder Leody Taveras will begin the season on the 10-day injured list and righty Spencer Howard will start on the 15-day IL.
Overall, Texas will carry 13 pitchers and 13 positions players into Opening Day.
Texas Rangers Chris Young just said that Travis Janksowski will make the team.
