Texas Rangers Star Corey Seager Rehab Stint Set

In this story:
Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager is starting a rehab assignment Thursday, according to manager Bruce Bochy.
Thursday maintains the timeline that Bochy laid out Sunday. He said before the series finale against the Los Angeles Angels that Seager would probably start the rehab stint after the Seattle Mariners series.
The Rangers opened a three-game set at Seattle on Monday night. The series ends Wednesday.
Seager has been out of the lineup since April 12 with a left hamstring strain. Seager suffered a hamstring injury once with the Los Angeles Dodgers and needed about a month to recover.
Seager has been participating in baseball activities for about two weeks, including defensive drills, throwing and swinging the bat.
Bochy did not indicate which affiliate Seager might join for the assignment. Both Triple-A Round Rock and Double-A Frisco are at home this week.
The length of the rehab stint hasn’t been decided, either. After the Rangers leave Seattle, they have a four-game series at the Oakland Athletics through Sunday.
The Rangers return home to host the Atlanta Braves on May 15.
