Report: Twins games no longer among the cheapest in majors to attend

Twins jumped from second most affordable in 2023 to 18th most expensive in 2024

The cost to attend a Twins game has jumped from one of the lowest in the majors to now middle of the pack, according to Bookies.com.

For the second consecutive year, the betting website recently looked at the cost of attending MLB games at each of the 30 stadiums in the majors. It found that on average a family of four will spend $180.54 on the cheapest available ticks, a parking spot, four beverages and four hot dogs.

The Twins, ranked 29th in cost to attend in 2023, jumped up to 18th priciest a year after winning their first postseason game in 20 years. According to the findings, it would cost a family of four around $160.50 for a day out at Target Field.

While Twins fans may be paying more in 2024, overall, baseball fans saw the average price actually drop from last year. The average price in 2023 was around $190.03, which is significantly lower than the average cost for an NBA game ($304.64) and downright bargain big compared to an NFL game ($646.88).

The priciest game in baseball, unsurprisingly, belongs to the Dodgers at $322.25 while AL Central rivals, the Chicago White Sox, come in at $118.00, the lowest in the league. The AL Central sports the three most affordable totals with the Guardians coming in at $130.75 and the Kansas City Royals at $122.75.

Bookies.com found their prices by taking the the four cheapest available tickets for home games on, or near, the 15th of every month and averaged the prices. The website only went through official ticket sources and says it avoided secondary market prices.
