Some MLB teams are reportedly experimenting with pumping in artificial crowd noise in an attempt to prevent the live broadcast from sounding too sterile for viewers at home. The artificial sounds are also supposed to benefit the players as the noise will cover up some of the communication amongst players and coaches.
