Live Updates: New York Yankees at Philadelphia Phillies — Spring Training Game 11

CLEARWATER, Fla. — New York is back in Clearwater, set to take on the Phillies in Game 11 of spring training.
Ace Gerrit Cole is on the mound for the Yankees, but here's the rest of New York's starting lineup:
New York Yankees
Aaron Hicks CF
Luke Voit DH
Jay Bruce RF
Clint Frazier LF
Mike Ford 1B
Kyle Higashioka C
Tyler Wade SS
Thairo Estrada 2B
Andrew Velazquez 3B
Gerrit Cole SP
After last night, where the lineup was basically completely full with starting position players, only Hicks, Voit and Frazier get the start in Clearwater. Bruce and Wade have another opportunity in their battle for an Opening Day roster spot.
Here's the Philadelphia Phillies starting lineup:
Philadelphia Phillies
Andrew McCutchen LF
Rhys Hoskins 1B
Bryce Harper DH
Alec Bohm 3B
Didi Gregorius SS
Jean Segura 2B
Odúbel Herrera CF
Andrew Knapp C
Scott Kingery RF
Aaron Nola SP
Cole gets to face a lineup full of big-league hitters, including a handful of stars. The right-hander was supposed to start on March 7, against the Pirates in Bradenton, but rain in the forecast resulted in Cole throwing a live BP instead. He threw 50 pitches against live hitters at New York's Player Development Complex, so expect a similar pitch count on Thursday.
Before we get to in-game updates, with first pitch later this afternoon, here's some related reading from Yankees camp.

LIVE UPDATES
First inning
Aaron Hicks starts this game with a bang! Well, it barely got over the wall, but it counts as a home run either way.
Hicks takes Nola deep to the opposite field to give New York a 1-0 lead.
Aaron Hicks *barely* hits one to the sticks!

Gerrit Cole gets through the first inning unscathed after allowing a leadoff base hit to Andrew McCutchen. He's got two strikeouts already heading into the second inning.
Second inning
Another spotless frame for Cole as we head to the third. The ace has thrown 30 pitches now with three K's.
Three inning
Luke Voit puts the Bombers up 2-0 with an RBI single. Andrew Velazquez started the frame with a single, stealing second before coming around to score.
Gerrit Cole gets through the third, but allows one run to score. With exactly 50 pitches through three, mixing in five strikeouts, it seems like he's done for the day.
Gerrit Cole's final pitch of the third is a high fastball blown by Bryce Harper for his fifth strikeout of the day.

Cole gave up a run on three hits over three frames, throwing exactly 50 pitches. With Jonathan Loaisiga up in the bullpen, I think Cole is done for the day.
Fifth inning
Have a day, Aaron Hicks.
The center fielder drives in Velazquez with an RBI double into the right-center field gap. He looks pretty good in the leadoff spot, doesn't he?
Seventh inning
No updates from here. Jonathan Loaisiga shut the Phillies down over three spectacular innings and both offenses have been quiet these last few innings. Still a 3-1 Yankees lead entering the bottom half of the seventh.
Eighth inning
And just like that, the Yankees break this one open a bit. New York pushes three across in the top of the eighth. Prospect Oswald Peraza ripped an RBI single to left and Velazquez brought in another on a broken-bat infield single with two outs.
Yankees lead 6-1.
Ninth inning
FINAL: Yankees 6, Phillies 1
Lucas Luetge pitches the ninth, striking out two, as the Yankees finish off a victory in Clearwater.
New York is back at it on Friday in Lakeland against the Tigers. Thank you as always for following along and we'll see you right before for New York's next game!
