Three-peat? Heat already named favorites to win 2014 NBA title

The Heat ended Thursday night as champions and enter Friday morning as favorites. According to the betting service Bovada, Miami has already claimed the top odds for the 2014 title, while the Western Conference champion Spurs wind up in the fourth slot behind the Heat, Thunder and Bulls.
The odds appear to account for several offseason probabilities. Houston has rather favorable odds for a rising eighth seed, in part due to their potential to land Dwight Howard in free agency; Memphis, despite making the Western Conference finals, sees its stock drop with the Thunder's improving health and the Clippers' potential acquisitions; the likelihood of losing either Carl Landry or Jarrett Jack has pulled Golden State down to even odds with Denver; Chicago has better odds than the Pacers, despite the fact that Derrick Rose hasn't played an NBA game since last April.
