On Monday, the Philadelphia 76ers take on the Denver Nuggets, looking to snap their two-game losing streak.

On Monday, the Philadelphia 76ers take on the Denver Nuggets, looking to snap their two-game losing streak.

The Sixers come into the match off of their 105-125 blowout loss to the Phoenix Suns, which was due in big part to Devin Booker dropping 29 points on an efficient 50 percent shooting.

Joel Embiid did his part, scoring 28 points and grabbing ten rebounds before resting for a sizable chunk of the fourth quarter.

It was Tyrese Maxey who led Philadelphia's offensive charge, scoring 37 points on an elite 64 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

James Harden and Danuel House Jr. were notably missing from the match, with the former MVP sitting out of his third straight game with soreness in his Achilles.

While fans were excited to see a duel between the two MVP candidates, Embiid will sit on Monday night, with The Beard joining him on the bench.

On the other side of the ticket sits the Denver Nuggets, who come into Monday night off of an emphatic 129-106 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Defending back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic came up huge for his team, scoring 31 points while dishing out 11 assists en route to their third straight win.

Michael Malone will have to only play around the potential absence of Michael Porter Jr., who is listed as questionable due to injury management of his left heel.

Players to Watch:

Sixers: Tyrese Maxey

With both Embiid and Harden out, Maxey could flourish against the Nuggets on Monday night.

Over his previous ten games, the thrid-year-guard has been on fire, scoring 21 points per game on 54 percent shooting.

Nuggets: Nikola Jokic

Fans should keep their eye on Jokic as he could look to show the world why he deserves the MVP award this season, with Embiid sitting out on Monday night.

March has been a very productive month for the Joker, as he averages 27 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists per game, which has helped his team maintain their spot at the top of the Western Conference.
