Former 76ers Forward Projected to Land With Western Conference Contender

Marcus Morris predicted to end up with Minnesota Timberwolves.

This season, Marcus Morris has gone through a lot of change. He began the year with the Clippers, but was traded to the Philadelphia at the end of October in the James Harden trade.

Landing with the Sixers was big for Morris, as it gave him a chance to suit up for his hometown team. This was culminated by the veteran forward eventually being awarded a key to the city.

Unfortunately for Morris, his time in Philly did not last long. He was traded to the Indiana Pacers at the trade deadline in exchange for Buddy Hield. Not long after that, he was flipped again to the San Antonio Spurs

Now with the Spurs, Morris is expected to reach a buyout. As the playoff eligibility deadline gets closer, Bleacher Report put together predictions for some of the top names on the market.

When discussing Morris, he was projected to ink a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves following a buyout. This is not the first time he has been connected to the team. Days after the trade deadline, Patrick Beverley reported that Morris had interest in signing with Minnesota.

Ending up with the Timberwolves would give Morris an opportunity to compete for a championship this season. Currently, Minnesota sits in the top spot in the Western Conference at 41-17.

Since being traded from the Sixers, Morris has yet to suit up in a game. He hasn't been officially bought out yet, but a move is expected to come.

Morris played in 37 games for the Sixers this season. In that time, he averaged 6.7 PPG and 2.9 RPG while shooting 40% from beyond the arc.
