NBA Rumors: Bulls Expected to Waive Former Sixers Center

In this story:
The Chicago Bulls are adding a veteran to the mix by signing Patrick Beverley. In order to make room for the veteran guard, Chicago has to cut a player loose. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bulls will release a former Philadelphia 76ers center.
Tony Bradley, a 25-year-old veteran, signed a deal with the Bulls last offseason. He joined Chicago’s team just one season after suiting up for the Sixers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Coming off of a three-year stint with the Utah Jazz, Bradley was traded to Philadelphia during the 2020 offseason. After appearing in 20 games with the Sixers, Bradley was traded to the Thunder in the deal that netted the Sixers George Hill.
With the Thunder, Bradley averaged 18 minutes on the court in 22 games before signing on with the Bulls. Last season, Bradley appeared in 55 games and acquired seven starts. He averaged just ten minutes on the floor, putting up three points per game while coming down with three rebounds per game in Chicago last year.
This season, Bradley struggled to carve out a role for himself on the Bulls once again. Appearing in just 12 games, he averaged fewer than four minutes on the court. In the last game he appeared in on February 16 against the Milwaukee Bucks, Bradley checked in for just three minutes.
With Bradley set to become a free agent once again, he’ll search for his fifth NBA home. Initially, the Sixers seemed like a potential landing spot for Bradley as it became clear Philly would search for a third center to bring in and compete with Montrezl Harrell and Paul Reed.
Now that the Sixers have Dewayne Dedmon on board, the roster is full. Therefore, a reunion in Philly for the big man seems unlikely.
