During a typical NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers would've already selected their newest rookies and added a couple of free agents from the market at this point in the year. But as we know, the 2019-2020 NBA season has been anything but typical.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NBA season shut down on March 11. Nobody knew what the suspension meant for the rest of the NBA's schedule, which included regular-season games, playoff games, the NBA Draft lottery, and the draft itself.

By now, we know the season will start up again in late July. And since the NBA Finals are scheduled to be concluded by October 13, the draft will take place three days later. Right now, it's unclear if the Sixers will hold a first-round pick or not.

At the moment, Philly owns Oklahoma City's 22nd overall pick in the first round. And if all goes according to plan with the rest of the Thunder's season, the Sixers won't lose the pick. Assuming they keep it, who will the 76ers select in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft? The Athletic's Sam Vecenie mocks an Arizona wing to Philly.

Josh Green, Arizona Freshman

"The 76ers could use depth in the backcourt, or more options on the wing from a 3-and-D perspective. Really above all, they just need shooters and perimeter players they can trust. I'm not quite sure I totally trust Green on the shooting front, but he's an absolutely high-level defensive prospect that at least has the potential to shoot the ball at some point if he can work through some mechanical tweaks."

Green, a 19-year-old prospect out of Arizona, stands at six-feet-six-inches. The Australian native appeared and started in 30 games for the Wildcats during the 2019-2020 NCAA season. As he averaged nearly 31 minutes on the court throughout the year, Green accounted for 12 points-per-game.

As mentioned above, the Sixers will likely look for a perimeter scorer in this year's draft -- precisely one they can consistently count on. Unlike last season, the Sixers' front office is willing to take a shot on an inexperienced player such as the Arizona freshman, but his numbers from deep aren't all that inspiring.

Although Green averaged 42-percent from the field, he managed only to drain 36-percent of his three-pointers with the Wildcats. Inconsistency from beyond the arc has been an issue for the Sixers throughout the season -- and it's going to be difficult for them to trust a young player like Green to come in and make an impact on the offensive side of the ball.

However, Green's value on the defensive side of the ball could intrigue the Sixers. As they've built a 'bully-ball' squad during last year's offseason, Green could be a substantial addition to a team that prioritizes defense more than anything.
