On Wednesday night, the Philadelphia 76ers welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers into town as they look to expand their three-game win streak.

In their last time out, the Sixers took down the Houston Rockets, 123-104, in a matchup that quickly went in the Eastern Conference side's favor.

This was despite the game being a close contest through the first half, with Philadelphia being ahead seven points, thanks in part to brilliant offensive contributions from Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, with the two combining for 23 points.

Granted, James Harden would step up against his former team in the second half, dropping 19 points on a 4-6 shooting stint from downtown, with Maxey adding 15 more points to his total.

Doc Rivers was in danger of having to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers without P.J. Tucker, Embiid, and Furkan Korkmaz, as the trio has found themselves on the Sixers' injury report.

Fortunately for Philadelphia, two of the starters will be available for the night.

On the other side of Wednesday night's ticket sits the Cleveland Cavaliers, who come into the match off of a win against the San Antonio Spurs.

All-Star starter Donovan Mitchell showed why he deserves to appear in Salt Lake City later this week as the guard dropped 41 points against the Western Conference side, leading his side and the game in scoring.

Ricky Rubio and Cedi Osman are listed as questionable for J.B. Bickerstaff ahead of Wednesday night's match.

Players to Watch:

76ers: Tyrese Maxey

The former Kentucky guard finds himself as the Sixers' player to watch for his numerous feats of offensive brilliance against the Rockets on Monday night, dropping 26 points in all on 10-16 shooting. The third-year player missed Philadelphia's first matchup against Cleveland earlier this season.

Cavaliers: Donovan Mitchell

To say that Mitchell has made a great first impression with his new team would be an understatement, averaging 27 points a game on 48 percent shooting, helping lead his team to a serious shot at one of the higher seeds in the Eastern Conference.

Granted, Mitchell was quiet against the Sixers earlier this season, only dropping 18 points on 5-9 shooting, so if Philadelphia's defense can hold him down again, they may be able to split the season series.
