76ers’ Tyrese Maxey Lands Billboard at NBA All-Star Weekend

In this story:
For the first time in his four-year NBA career, Tyrese Maxey is in the big All-Star showcase to represent the Philadelphia 76ers.
This weekend, the young guard is participating in a ton of events out in Indiana in the days leading up to the game, which takes place on Sunday night at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the home of the Indiana Pacers.
As Maxey took a stroll through the streets of Indianapolis on Friday, he took the opportunity to check out his first billboard, which was put together by New Balance.

“Oh my god!” Maxey said as he saw a larger-than-life version of himself on a building. “That’s hard. That’s nice — and it’s nice in the snow too. That’s really nice. Shout out to New Balance, man. That’s dope… That’s really dope.
A little over a year ago, New Balance landed Maxey as a brand ambassador for the company. He joined several star hoopers such as Kawhi Leonard, Jamal Murray, Zach LaVine, and Dejounte Murray.
At the time, Maxey was considered to be a rising star in the NBA. One year later, he represents the company as a one-time All-Star as he navigates through an impressive fourth year.
Maxey will be the only Sixer to play in Sunday’s game for the Eastern Conference All-Stars. While his teammate, Joel Embiid, made the roster for the seventh straight season, his meniscus injury called for a replacement.
East vs. West will take place on Sunday night, tipping off around 8 PM ET. Maxey will serve as a reserve for the the matchup.
