The Philadelphia 76ers had a clean injury report when it was initially released on Wednesday night. That even included the absence of Joel Embiid, who was on the report listed as questionable due to foot soreness for 12 straight games.

While everything was clear on Wednesday, the Sixers added a prospect to the report on Thursday as Dewayne Dedmon is dealing with hip tightness. As a result, he is questionable for Thursday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Dedmon has yet to make his debut for the 76ers. Last week, the team added the veteran big man to the roster, using up their final roster spot, which was vacant from the start of the season after the team waived Oklahoma City Thunder sharpshooter Isaiah Joe.

With Doc Rivers and the Sixers struggling to find consistency behind Joel Embiid with Paul Reed and Montrezl Harrell, the team brought Dedmon around to offer some depth if struggles persist.

Dedmon suited up for the Sixers for the first time last Wednesday as the Sixers hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Paul Reed taking up the minutes behind Embiid and continuing to thrive in his limited role, the Sixers didn’t see a reason to debut Dedmon.

With the big man on the injury report for Thursday’s game, it seems his Sixers debut could be delayed once again, as there is a chance he could be ruled inactive for the matchup. The last time Dedmon played was on February 4th, when the Miami Heat faced the Milwaukee Bucks. He checked in for 12 minutes in the eight-point loss.
