Damian Lillard did not only set a franchise-record but also moved up in an all-time list when he powered the Bucks TO a 141-135 win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night.

Logging his finest offensive game in a Milwaukee uniform, Lillard ended the match with a season-high 45 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, making him the first player in Bucks history to tally 40+ points, 10+ assists, and 5+ three-pointers in a game.

An elite company

More importantly, Dame also moved to second all-time in games with 35+ points, 10+ assists, and 5+ three-pointers. It was the 20th time in his career that Lillard scored 35+ points, dished off more than 10 assists, and made more than five triples in a game.

James Harden of the LA Clippers leads the all-time list with 34, while Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks are tied at third place with 19.

It was only the second time this season that Lillard recorded a 40-point game. Dame scored 40 points in Milwaukee’s 132-119 win over the San Antonio Spurs on December 11th.

Milwaukee’s one-two punch

Acquired in an offseason multi-team deal that saw the Bucks part ways with dependable guard Jrue Holiday, Lillard has been instrumental in Milwaukee’s strong showing this season. The 12-year veteran is averaging 25.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

With Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way, the Bucks are currently second in the Eastern Conference with a 29-13 record.
