The Milwaukee Bucks play host to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night, looking to keep their winning run going. Brook Lopez (sore ankle)- Questionable
Goran Dragic (sore knee)- Questionable
Grayson Allen (sore plantar fascia)- Out
Rugged defender
Allen has earned a reputation for being a rugged defender, and his defensive acumen will sorely be missed, especially against an Indiana squad that has several superb perimeter marksmen in Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton. Allen also plays a key role on the other side of the ball, providing enough outside shooting to keep the defense honest and prevent defenders from loading up on Milwaukee superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Bucks, though, possess a deep roster, and they have several players who can take Allen’s place in the rotation. Whether it’s backup point guard Jevon Carter or grizzled veterans like Joe Ingles and Jae Crowder, the Bucks have enough depth to compensate for Allen’s absence.
Lopez also questionable
Should “Splash Mountain” be unable to suit up due to a sore left ankle, the Bucks will have to lean on Bobby Portis to pick up the slack. More than his 15.5 points per game average, Lopez’s defensive impact is something that Milwaukee will miss greatly, as he provides premium rim protection in the form of 2.5 blocks per game.
Meanwhile, Dragic has yet to play a game for the Bucks this season, and it appears he’ll continue to sit due to a sore knee.
