After signing him to a pair of 10-day deals, the Phoenix Suns had to decide whether to sign Isaiah Thomas for the rest of the season or if their reunion with him was over. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, they chose the former.

Now in his 12th NBA season, the 35-year-old guard has played in four games with the Suns, averaging 1.3 points and 0.5 assists per contest.

But the former Boston Celtics star is a respected teammate whose insights Phoenix's star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal will take into account.

While his days of being an All-Star are behind him, having Thomas in the fold is a net positive for the Suns, hence keeping him on board.

With four games left in the regular season, they are sixth in the Western Conference standings. However, they have the same record as the seventh-seeded New Orleans Pelicans. As Phoenix fights to avoid the play-in tournament, it's only one ahead of the Sacramento Kings, who are in eighth and 1.5 games in front of the ninth-seeded Los Angeles Lakers.
