Wyc Grousbeck Trying to Bring All-Star Weekend to Boston

Boston hasn't hosted an NBA All-Star Game in over 60 years.

NBA All-Star Weekend is underway. The event is taking place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will be participating in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game. Brown will also be involved in the Slam Dunk Contest.

As captured by WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show, Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck is campaigning to host a future NBA All-Star weekend in Boston.

"We have taken steps, and we're in the process. There is nothing to announce right now, but when we say we're going to try and do something, we try to do it."

The next two All-Star Weekends are scheduled to take place in California. The 2025 edition will be hosted at the Golden State Warriors’ Chase Center, while the 2026 edition will be hosted at the Los Angeles Clippers’ Intuit Dome.

Boston previously hosted the All-Star Game in 1951, 1952, 1957, and 1964.
