Wednesday night's matchup at TD Garden features a battle between the top team in the East and against the best in the West.

The hosts are 17-0 on the TD Garden parquet this season, which ties a franchise record set in 1957-58. The 28-8 Boston Celtics also sit atop the NBA standings.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 26-10 but have lost three of their last five games and find themselves in a bit of a rough patch. The visitors are also on the second night of a back-to-back, beating the Orlando Magic, 113-92, Tuesday.

Unfortunately, inclement weather delayed their flight to Boston, and they did not arrive until Wednesday.

The Celtics' latest injury report also brings them more negative news than positive.

Jrue Holiday, initially listed as questionable due to right elbow sprain injury management, will suit up for this slugfest. So will Al Horford, who's dealing with a non-Covid illness and typically doesn't play on the first half of back-to-backs. The C's travel to Milwaukee to face the Bucks on Thursday.

But on Wednesday, they're without Kristaps Porzingis, who has a right knee contusion, resulting in a change in Horford's resting pattern.

Wednesday's contest will tip off at 7:00 p.m. EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the game before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
