Celtics Starter's Status in Question for Game 4 vs. Sixers

The Celtics aim to take both games in Philadelphia and return home with a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Sixers.

Friday night in Philadelphia, the Celtics earned a 114-102 win over the Sixers, taking a 2-1 series lead and regaining home-court advantage.

But with this best-of-seven battle between rivals placing a premium on physicality, Robert Williams expressed Saturday about Game 4, "We expect to leave out the game with more scars than yesterday."

The Time Lord took one of those scars after a hard fall when he saved a long rebound, extending a fourth-quarter possession. The former Texas A&M Aggie crashed into Boston's bench, resulting in a right forearm contusion.

Williams temporarily went to the locker room, and while he didn't return after that, the Celtics said he was available to do so. Fortunately, as Boston prepares for Game 4, his name's nowhere to be found on its injury report.

Unfortunately for the visitors, Marcus Smart's name's present on that list. The Celtics' starting point guard is considered questionable for Sunday's matchup due to a left ankle sprain.

Game 4 between Boston and Philadelphia is Sunday at Wells Fargo Center; tip-off is at 3:30 p.m. EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the matchup, including whether Smart's in or out of the lineup, before, during, and afterward. Update: Marcus Smart is available for Game 4, per the Celtics.
