While Celtics' fans anxiously await a resolution to whether the franchise will sign Jaylen Brown to a veteran supermax extension that will make him ineligible to get traded for a year or if he'll end up in a deal that brings back a player like Damian Lillard, the franchise continues rounding out its roster.

Boston signed former Pacer Oshae Brissett Friday, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The four-year veteran, who has averaged 7.4 points and 4.2 rebounds, is an effective basket cutter and a solid defender, best suited to play the four.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Celtics inked former Raptor Dalano Banton to a two-year contract on Monday. Unlike Brissett's deal, the second season is a team option, per Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.

Both players bring energy off the bench. The former is a six-foot-nine point guard who produced 4.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game last season.

The 23-year-old has shown flashes as a scorer and facilitator, including registering 11 points and seven assists, plus five rebounds, in 19 minutes, in a matchup against the Bucks near the end of the 2022-23 campaign. Two days earlier, Banton generated 10 points in four minutes against Boston.

Before bringing Banton on board, the Celtics, yet to sign rookie Jordan Walsh, were $5.4 million from the second apron, per Spotrac
