The NBA Trade Deadline is quickly approaching and there's sure to be plenty of chatter before it's all said and done.

The Boston Celtics have had plenty of rumors swirling around them and there likely will be even more before the Feb. 9 deadline passes. One player that has had some question marks swirling around him is sharpshooter Grant Williams. While it seems unlikely that a move will be made, that doesn't mean that interest in Williams around the league isn't growing, according to CelticsBlog's Keith Smith.

"Most believe that Boston and Grant Williams will get a new deal done this summer, Smith said. "But chatter around the Celtics trading Williams is starting to grow a little louder. One source told CelticsBlog that Boston is wary about what Williams wants moving forward, both in terms of a new deal and a bigger role.

"A league source said, “Brad (Stevens) will move Williams if he can get a comparable player that’s under team control for a couple more years.”

One team that reportedly has shown a lot of interest in Williams has been the Eastern Conference rival Miami Heat. While a deal within the Eastern Conference seems unlikely, it certainly can't be ruled out. Williams will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season and likely will command a large deal potentially even approaching $20 million per season, according to Smith.

The 24-year-old is in the middle of the best season of his career to date and is averaging career-highs across the board with 8.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and a 41.4% across 27.4 minutes per game.
