Jimmy Butler's Injury Status vs. LA Clippers Revealed

In this story:
Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler made his return from injury on Saturday night against the Utah Jazz, but played just 23 minutes before getting hurt again. It was a foot injury for Butler in this game, not the calf that held him out for the previous four games, and the Heat have since announced that Butler will miss Monday night's game vs. the LA Clippers.
#MIAvsLAC INJURY UPDATE: Jimmy Butler (foot irritation) has been ruled out of tomorrow's game vs the Clippers.

Haywood Highsmith (jaw contusion) & Caleb Martin (ankle) are both listed as doubtful.
Kyle Lowry (head contusion) & Josh Richardson (back) are both questionable.
The official injury designation for Butler is right foot irritation, and it will force him to miss at least one game. While this is very unfortunate for the Heat, they have still found ways to win without Butler recently, winning four-straight without him before falling to Utah in the game he left early.
The Clippers are on a two-game winning streak, and are looking to continue their ascension up the Western Conference standings after a dominant month of December. Kawhi Leonard has been sidelined the last four games with a left hip contusion, but could be nearing a return.
Clippers head coach Ty Lue told the media on Sunday morning that Leonard was a full participant in practice, which is a good sign. While this does not mean Leonard will play on Monday, it certainly opens the door for that possibility.
With Butler out, the Clippers will have to remain focused on building good habits and not overlooking this Heat team.
