Kevin Durant's Expected Injury Return Date Revealed

In this story:
After rolling his ankle in pregame warm-ups, Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant has missed seven-straight games. There has been a level of uncertainty about when his return to the lineup would be, but a report from The Athletic's Shams Charania on Friday afternoon indicated that Durant could be making his return on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Phoenix Suns have been trying to hold off the LA Clippers in the standings, as LA has been in pursuit of the fourth seed. LA is the closest team to Phoenix in the standings, but other teams like the Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and others also have their sights set on a top-four finish.
Getting Durant back would give Phoenix a significant advantage towards securing a top-four seed, especially considering they still have a game left against the LA Clippers on the last day of the regular season. There is a real chance that this game could determine who gets the fourth seed and who gets the fifth seed in the Western Conference.
As things sit currently, the Clippers and Suns would face off in the first round of the playoffs in that 4-5 match up. With Durant scheduled to be back before the last day of the regular season, there is a real chance the Clippers get to see him once before the playoffs begin as well.
