Lou Williams: Joakim Noah has Embraced the LA Clippers' Culture

If there's one major takeaway from the LA Clippers' first few weeks in Orlando so far, it's that Joakim Noah is fitting in perfectly with his new team.
The 35-year-old veteran big has drawn praise from Head Coach Doc Rivers and several of his new teammates, often honing-in on his high energy and basketball IQ.
Lou Williams is the latest member of the team to speak out about Noah, bringing attention to how well he's fit in with the rest of the guys thus far:
"We've had a lot of competitive situations where he's been able to show he's a seasoned veteran in his game," Williams said during Sunday's Zoom conference. "I think this is a great fit for him. We've embraced him, he's embraced us, he's embraced our culture, so I think he's a great fit for what we're trying to accomplish."
Although he signed with the team over four months ago, Noah has yet to his make Clippers debut. He was on the bench for LA's meeting with the Golden State Warriors on March 10 and likely would've played in the games that followed, had the NBA season not been suspended one day later.
Fortunately, Noah's chance could come sooner than we initially thought — and he could earn some serious minutes in his debut as well.
With Montrezl Harrell tending to a family matter and Ivica Zubac out of the bubble, Noah is the only center on the roster right now. And with their first scrimmage game coming up this Wednesday, Noah is in line to see plenty of time on the court.
Of course, once Harrell and Zubac arrive on campus, Noah will likely be bumped out of the rotation. That's not to say he won't play again for the rest of the season, but those two will take up most of LA's minutes at the five.
Regardless of Noah's role, it sounds as though he's a welcome addition to the roster and a player that can move the needle both on and off the floor.
LA's first televised scrimmage game will be played this Saturday, July 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET against the Washington Wizards. Those interested in catching a glimpse at Noah should tune-in.
